The U.S.-bound side of the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls was closed on Sunday afternoon due to an unexplained "incident."
A representative of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission told WBFO that the closure of the bridge was at the request of U.S. Customs and Border Protection due to an "incident." No further explanation was provided.
WKBW-TV, Channel 7, reported that the closure may have been due to a person jumping from the bridge.
Traffic to the U.S. was closed at approximately 4:35 p.m. The Bridge reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
