Saturday's 21st annual Ride for Roswell was a rousing success. More than 7,100 people participated in the fundraising bicycle ride over local courses ranging from three miles to 100 miles.
Ride founder Mitch Flynn addressed a joyous crowd at the end of the ride.
"It looks like we're dead on with last year, which is $4.5 million (raised)," Flynn said. "That's great, isn't it?"
The cumulative total raised over the years now tops $38 million.
Proceeds from the Ride for Roswell are earmarked for research and patient care at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
