Just in time for Memorial Day weekend's hot and muggy weather, splash pads are opened up across the City of Buffalo. Nine of cool down spots are being made available a month earlier than scheduled.

Depending on the weather, the pads will be open weekends only through June 27th and then switch to seven days a week operation through Labor Day.

This weekend, the pads will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. The nine pads include:

MLK Humboldt Basin - Best & Fillmore

Cntennial - Foot of Porter in LaSalle Park

Houghton Park - Foot of Spann Street, off Clinton

Cazenovia Park - Near the Cazenovia Casino

Lanigan Park - SOuth Park Avenue, near Louisiana

Schiller Park - Sprenger Avenue

Kensington Pool grounds - Kensington, at Grider

Allison Pool Grounds - Reese Street

Roosevelt Park - Foot of Roosevelt Avenue

Work continues on two additional splash pads at Masten Park and Lincoln Park. They are expected to be open by next weekend.

Outdoor pools in the city are set to open on July 1st.
