A 911 call near the end of classes Monday prompted Sweet Home High School to go into lockdown for about an hour. Amherst Police responded. Police said school safety protocols were activated in coordination with the district.
The district said students and staff were never in any danger. Police searched the building for about an hour, but found no evidence of a threat and lifted the lockdown about 3:30 p.m.
Police have not confirmed who made the 911 call, but said, "It appears the report of an emergency was unfounded."
