A black-tie event was held at Shea's Theater last night, celebrating the venerable venue's 90th anniversary.
Hundreds gathered to enjoy food, live music and performances. The event also recognized the 4-year, $17 million complete restoration of the theater, bringing it back to the exact condition of the building when it opened in 1926. Shea's was the last of 17 theaters built in Western New York by Michael Shea, drawing in European influences.
Tommy Tune, the 10-time Tony Award winner, was among the luminaries on hand.
