Amherst Police were called to the Habibi Sheesha Lounge on Main Street in the early hours this morning. An altercation that involved gunfire spread from the business into a nearby parking lot. Two individuals were transported to ECMC with undisclosed injuries. The investigation is continuing.
The hookah lounge is a popular spot near the UB campus.
A similar incident led Buffalo authorities to close a Habibi Sheesha Lounge on Elmwood Avenue last year.
