A Democrat has stepped forward to challenge incumbent Angela Wozniak for the 143rd Assembly seat. Lawyer Monica Wallace is seeking her party's nomination for the race. The UB professor and political newcomer claims that she will bring better judgment and ethics to the position. Wozniak, a Conservative, was recently disciplined after accusations of sexually harassing a staffer with whom she had an affair.
The district includes Cheektowaga, Lancaster and Depew.
