Karen Stanley Fleming

Hundreds gathered at the Buffalo Museum of Science on Saturday morning to attend the African-American Film and Arts Exposition held in Hamlin Hall.

The event presented by the Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. displayed a variety of art forms ranging from visual and culinary arts to performing arts. In addition the expo showcased local authors and a variety of African-American literature. Chairperson of the sorority's arts and letter's committee, Dr. Thomasina Stenhouse says her team wanted to create an event that would inspire the community.

The  expo concluded after a short film and panel discussion in the museum's auditorium.
