An employee at an Olean facility for the disabled is facing charges for the abuse of a patient. Prosecutors with the New York Justice Center have levied four misdemeanor charges against 51-year-old Amhad Burney for choking a person receiving services. The incident occurred in February. Burney has pleaded not guilty, and he has been released from his job at The Rehabilitation Center.
He is due back in court next month.
