A guilty plea has been entered in a public works corruption case in Monroe County. Former county Chief Information Officer Nelson Rivera has agreed to 2 felony charges in connection with a scheme to rig two multimillion dollar contracts regarding work with the county. Rivera faces five years of probation, loss of his pension and a $25,000 fine.
Robert Wiesner, Former Security Director of the Monroe County Water Authority, was indicted in the case as well.
