A former Monroe County official has pleaded guilty to a felony charge in a state investigation. Robert Weisner was the former Security Director for the Monroe County Water Authority. State officials report that Weisner was part of an elaborate bid-rigging scheme involving contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars. His plea involves a fine and the surrender of scheme-related profits.
Three other individuals, including another former county official, remain targets of the investigation.
