10-year-old struck by gunfire in Jamestown shooting

A 10-year-old child was struck by gunfire in Jamestown Monday night. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. at a home at 411 East 2nd Street. Police were called to the scene after a report of multiple gunshots fired into the residence. 

The victim was taken to WCA Hospital in Jamestown before being transferred to Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo. The child is reportedly in stable condition with a non-life threatening injury.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 483-7537 or leave an anonymous tip at 483-TIPS.
