A Niagara Falls man has been charged with theft and insurance fraud by New York authorities in a worker's compensation case. James Reagle collected $82,000 in benefits over a 13 year period while claiming that he was unable to work due to a 1990 injury suffered at a Lockport workplace. Investigators state that the 55-year-old Reagle collected those funds while being self-employed recycling wooden pallets, a job that earned him nearly $400,000.
He has pleaded not guilty and is due in court later this month.
