Two downstate Democratic Senators are pushing for stronger gun control legislation. In separate statements, Jeff Klein and Brad Hoylman proposed laws that would bar individuals on the federal no-fly list or the terrorist watch list from being able to purchase firearms. The legislation would also allow for the confiscation of any guns that these individuals already possess.

Local support for tougher gun laws was voiced at a New Yorkers against Gun Violence vigil at Buffalo State last night.
