A car accident in downtown Buffalo left an SUV lying on its side Sunday morning.
Police arrived at Michigan Ave and Best St to find a 2010 Toyota SUV flipped on its side as a result of an accident that had occurred around 2:20 that morning. They say 39-year-old John Nelson was the driver of the vehicle who fled the scene afterwards. Nelson was found a short time after on Dodge street.
He is being charged with DWI and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
