Approximately 20 states and the District of Columbia have joined a coalition that urges the Supreme Court to protect workers' rights to organize.

On Sunday Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced that he is leading the coalition and is filing a friend-of-the-court brief in a key labor case. Schneiderman who was joined with Attorney General George Jepsen seeks to encourage the Supreme Court to uphold a settled precedent and allow the states to manage their own labor relations.

Schneiderman says this allows labor peace and government efficiency to be achieved and continues a long tradition of support for workers.
