US Senator Charles Schumer is focusing attention on safety concerns regarding a new peanut butter product. 'STEEM Peanut Butter' hit the market last year. The caffeinated product is targeted for athletes and the fitness market, but Schumer is concerned that children could be harmed by ingesting the highly caffeinated spread. The Senator states that a single serving of 'STEEM' contains 5 times the caffeine found in a serving of Coca Cola.

Schumer is urging the FDA to review possible safety issues connected with the new item.
