Kane breaks silence about sexual assault probe

Chicago Blackhawks star and South Buffalo native Patrick Kane has broken his silence about the sexual assault allegations against him.  A report in The Buffalo News this weekend indicated Kane is not likely to face chargesstemming from the incident in which a young woman accused Kane of raping her in his Hamburg home in August.

Kane told The Chicago Tribune after Sunday practice that he did not know if the probe was near its conclusion.

Kane told reporters, “There’s been a lot of reports, a lot of things that have been said that have been wrong. A lot of things that have been said that may have been accurate too. We’ve kind of stayed even keel the whole time ... leaving it to the facts and what actually happens instead of going off sources and different reports.”

Kane adds he's looking forward to "any type of conclusion, whatever it may be."
