A portion of the I-190 was closed during the overnight hours as construction crews installed a new pedestrian overpass above the Thruway. The Shoreline Trail Pedestrian Bridge is part of the improvement plans at the Peace Bridge Plaza, and the span was designed to reflect the Parker truss portion of the Peace Bridge.
The span is also a facet of an improved and reconfigured Shoreline Trail, which authorities plan to have open to the public next summer.
