Riverside man arrested in meth lab bust

A Buffalo resident is facing multiple charges in connection with the operation of a small Methamphetamine lab at his Riverside area home.Ryan Locke, 42, of Saratoga Street was arrested just before 10 a.m. Saturday morning when Buffalo SWAT and narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on his home.

A portion of Saratoga Street was closed off, as hazmat crews conducted a further search of Locke's home. Buffalo fire and police department personnel were at the scene. Hazmat personnel were seen removing items from the house next to the Riverside Academy building at the intersection of Ontario and Saratoga Streets.

Locke has been charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a weapon. Police recovered crystal meth, cocaine, marijuana, pills, and a shotgun.

7th Battalion Fire Chief Elizabeth Kraebel was the fire department's on-site commander.
