Man trying to enter U.S. dies after falling from Rainbow Bridge

Authorities say a man trying to sneak into the U.S. died after he fell off the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls. New York State Park Police say the man was on the span around 8:40p.m. Wednesday when he climbed over the bridge's railing and slipped. Police say the man fell about 100 feet and landed on rocks along the Niagara River just below the falls. Emergency crews later removed his body from the gorge.

Officials say the man was a Mexican national and was trying to sneak into the U.S. from Canada. His identity has not been released.
