Rochester Police are reporting that they have identified the body of a man who was found at the base of the Lower Falls in the Genesee River. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Pahal Rai, a Rochester resident. The body was discovered on Wednesday, but testing took time. Police believe Rai is the same man who fell into the river last Sunday evening. Witnesses claim that a man was leaning over the falls while attempting to splash water on his face. The man lost his balance and fell into the river.

The actual cause of death is still being determined.
