The City of Buffalo is reporting a significant increase in the number of swimmers at its outdoor pools for the month of July.Over 46,000 swimmers were recorded, bringing the number up by 17,000 compared to last year. Centennial pool in LaSalle Park brought in the top numbers for the city, with over 10,000 taking to the water. Other pools that recorded large increases include Kensington, ShoShone, Riverside, and Houghton.
The city pools continue to be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Labor Day.
