The outrage over racist comments made by Buffalo Municipal Housing Resident Commissioner Joe Mascia continues. Mascia has been urged by many to cease supporting his candidacy for Buffalo's Fillmore District Council seat. But, even if he bows out of the race, his name will still appear on the Democratic primary ballot in September. His petitions contained enough valid signatures to be approved.
Mascia is part of a field contending against incumbent David Franzcyk.
