An active shooter field training exercise will be held Sunday, July 12 at Eastern Hills Mall from 6p to 10pm.
Law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel will host the private training that will equip different agencies with skills to use when an individual is killing or attempting to kill people in confined or populated areas. Training will consist of different scenarios in a public center and response strategies which include services needed, anticipated challenges and possible obstacles. The training will involve federal agencies, state and local law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services and prosecutors. Training will not be open or visible to the public.
