June in Buffalo returns for 40th year

Last week, as UB's Center for 21st Century Music was about to embark on the 40th June in Buffalo music festival, an odd development occurred. Reports emerged that David Felder, the festival's director, had retired."I'm a very, very long way from retiring," Felder told WBFO.

"And a very, very long way from my time being ended as director of June in Buffalo or the Center for 21st Century Music."

For Felder it's the 30th year he has directed the festival. He reflected on its importance and this year's schedule in an interview with WBFO.
