Erin Kelly, the daughter of Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly, has just released her book "Kelly Tough." The book details the strength the family showed as Jim battled cancer. Now, there is an opportunity for all Buffalonians to show their toughness. The "Kelly Tough 12K - Beat the Train Down Main" will be held today. Kaitlin Brunner, the Director of Events for the Hunter's Hope Foundation, says the race will celebrate the drive that Western New Yorkers possess.

"Kelly Tough is not just about the Kelly family. It is a state of being. It's having the courage to live through adversity, and the strength, and exemplifying that strength through hard times and sharing that with others. So, really, what this is about is celebrating Kelly Tough, and not the "Kellys" but everyone who's Kelly tough."

The race, which can be run as a relay, begins at UB's South Campus and ends at HarborCenter. The goal is not just to finish, but to beat an NFTA train to the finish line.

There will be plenty of festivities at the finish line for participants and families. Monies raised will benefit the Hunter's Hope Foundation.

Saturday & Sunday 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
