The Buffalo Dream Center will be holding a Mother's Day gathering today in its new home. The Center has moved from downtown to Buffalo's West Side at 286 Lafayette Avenue, a space that they are renting from the Concerned Ecumenical Ministry. Locating a site took a great deal of time and consideration as the Eric Johns, pastor of the Dream Center, explains that their mission caters to a particular audience.

"We're a church, but we're unique in the fact that we do a lot of outreach into the community outside the four walls of our church. But, when we have a Sunday service, we run about two thirds kids, and so we really needed a facility that would accommodate all the inner city kids that we bus in from different neighborhoods. So, it just took us a while to find the right spot."

This morning's Mother's Day celebration gets underway at 11 o'clock.

Johns explains that there is still some finishing work to do on the new site, but that it will be ready for today's gathering.
