A news source in Rochester is reporting that a drowning victim was discovered in the Erie Canal in Brockport this morning. Officials with the State University College at Brockport have issued a statement indicating that the victim, a 23-year-old male, is believed to be a student at the school. WROC in Rochester states that family members have requested that the name of victim be withheld at this time.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
