Surveillance video has helped clear a Niagara County Sheriffs deputy in a shooting last week in Wheatfield. Sheriff Joseph Tortorella found himself engaged in a shootout with Duane Bores, Jr. as the officer responded to a 911 call. Bores was wounded in the exchange and later took his own life. A week long investigation has concluded that the officer acted properly under the circumstances.

Bores also shot both of this parents who are listed in critical condition at ECMC.

According to the Buffalo News, surveillance cameras caught the whole shootout on film.
