Wheatfield shooting victims identified

The victims in the shooting that occurred in Wheatfield on Friday have been identified.Duane Bores, Sr. and his wife, Cynthia, were shot by their son, Duane Bores, Jr. Both husband and wife ae in intensive care at ECMC. Bores, Jr. took his own life after a brief exchange of gunfire with a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy. The lawman was hit by a bullet but was saved by his vest. The deputy has not been identified, and he has been placed on administrative leave as per protocol.

Bores and his father were both members of the 107th Airlift Wing.
