New York State Assemblyman Ray Walter will be throwing his hat in the ring for the County Executive's race today. The GOP has been scrambling to find an opponent for the better financed and established Mark Poloncarz, the incumbent. Walter will make his announcement in Williamsville this morning.
GOP chairman Nick Langworthy states that he has faith in Walter's chances, even though initial polls put Republicans about 20 points behind in the race.
