Law enforcement officials rescued a man trapped in a burning vehicle late Friday night.Sheriff's deputies in the Town of Sherman located vehicle debris on a roadway which led them to a vehicle that had run into a drainage ditch. The vehicle's engine compartment had caught fire, which the deputies put out with a fire extinguisher.
Driver Kasey M. Erhard was found inside the vehicle. The Sherman Fire Department responded to the scene and extracted Erhard, who was transported to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. Erhard did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Charges are pending in the incident.
