A family in Sardinia, New York is being assisted by the Red Cross after a house fire early this morning. Twelve fire companies responded to a call on Mehm Road just after the midnight hour. The rural home was found to be engulfed in flames when crews arrived. Everyone appears to have escaped the blaze.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
