Press Pass: The area's most influential people

Business First is out with its "Power 250"---its rankings of the most influential people in Western New York in 2015. Jim Fink of Business First discussed the list during WBFO's "Press Pass."

In recent years, a spot on the list has become highly coveted among the leaders throughout the eight-county area.

"We poll all of our reporters, editors, our publisher, Jack Connors," Fink explained.

"We take this Jambalaya of names and sort through it and out of it comes the 250 most influential people of the year."

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul is first on the list, followed by Howard Zemsky, the local businessman who has been tabbed to take control of the Empire State Development Corporation.
