Amherst Police are looking for a shoplifter who stabbed a security guard at the Macy's Store in the Boulevard Mall.
A security guard at Macy's reportedly confronted a potential shoplifter in the store's shoe department about 6 p.m. Monday and was stabbed in the thigh.
The guard was taken to Erie County Medical Center with what's said to be a small puncture wound. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
The woman is described as an African American female, between the ages of 25-28, about 5'2" tall. She was last seen wearing a white sweater, tan UGG boots and jeans.
