Chad Kelly facing charges after police scuffle

The nephew of former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly has landed in more trouble.

The Buffalo News reports Chad Kelly was arrested early Sunday morning outside a downtown Buffalo bar after a fight with bouncers and threatening to "get my AK-47 and spray this place."

The News report indicates that officers responding to the call stopped a pick up truck in which Kelly was a passenger. Kelly was forcibly removed from his vehicle, kicking and swinging at officers.  The officers contend he resisted being put into the police cruiser and struggled with staff at central booking.

Kelly faces multiple charges including assault, harassment, menacing, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. He was arraigned later in Buffalo City Court and released without bail to await further court proceedings.

Kelly recently signed a scholarship offer with the University of Mississippi. He was kicked off the team at Clemson last Spring after arguing with coaches.
