The Genesee County Sheriff's office is investigating a fatal fire in the town of Byron.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 6900 block of Caswell Road just after 2 a.m.
One person was rescued from the blaze.
Officials are not releasing details about the fatality at this time.
Firefighters from the city of Batavia and seven nearby towns were called into help battle the fire.
Investigators are looking for the cause of the blaze.
