Western New Yorkers whose homes and property were damaged by the November storm can get assistance with insurance claims today. The Mobile Command Center of the Department of Financial Services will be in at the Senior Center in Lackawanna. Banking and Insurance Analyst Michael Romano states that representatives will be on hand to make sure that residents are properly filing for the compensation that they deserve.

"We're going to take a look at what the adjusters have written up. We're going to take a look at the assessment from the engineers, and we're going back into our office in the Consumer Assistance Unit at DFS, and we're going to take a hard look at it and make sure that the amounts are correct."

Romano said that attendees should bring their insurance policies, their adjuster and engineer's reports and all other pertinent paperwork.

Claims for all weather related issues will be reviewed, not just damage from the November storm.

Saturday & Sunday 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
