Flood warning continues for parts of WNY

Flooding is being reported in Lancaster this morning as officials across the area continue to monitor creeks and streams in Western New York.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for urban areas and small streams in Erie County along with Northwestern Cattaraugus, Northern Chautauqua, Southern Genesee and Wyoming Counties.

A flood warning continues for Ellicott Creek near Williamsville.

In the town of Lancaster, Stony Road is closed this morning between Genesee and Pleasant View Drive due to flooding as Ellicott Creek over flows on to the road and into nearby yards.

Meanwhile, Village of Lancaster officials have advised that sewer levels have dropped so residents can resume normal activities.  Yesterday, the village tweeted a message indicating,  "The sanitary sewer system is nearly at capacity. Please avoid doing laundry, showers, etc."
