A pair of statements have been released by administrators at Canisius High School regarding the suspension of a student athlete and the firing of a former Dean of Students. School President Reverend Joseph Costantino, S.J. states that the institution's "commitment to integrity" has not wavered and that it is hoped that an investigation undertaken by attorney Terrence Connors will "strengthen [the school's] reputation for educating men of outstanding character and honesty."

Canisius High's Board of Trustees, who appointed Connors, expressed their confidence that the investigation will reflect the school's "commitment to justice."

Both parties explained that they would make no further statements related to these issues until the investigation is completed.
