Akron man accused of raping young girl

New York State Police

State police have arrested a 27-year-old Akron man for rape involving a young girl in Niagara County. 

State Police Investigator Rebecca Gibbons says an "ongoing investigation" lead to the arrest of Kyle Fiegel, charging him with two counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree criminal sex act and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities allege Fiegel engaged in sexual contact with a girl under the age of 15 on multiple occasions last year.

WIVB is reporting Fiegel was a JV football coach at Newfane central school and also a substitute teacher in various school districts.

Fiegel was arraigned yesterday in the Town of Lockport Court. He was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in leui of $2,500 bail.

Fiegel is scheduled to appear in Royalton Town Court on November 18.
