The Orleans County Sheriff's Office has identified Jacob Stahl as the victim in what is being termed an accidental shooting on Friday. The 15-year-old Stahl was a tenth grade student at Medina High School. Investigators believe that the shooting resulted from the mishandling of a loaded firearm. Stahl was with a friend in an upstairs bedroom when the shooting occurred. Stahl's father was in another room in the house.
Grief counselors will be available for students and teachers when they return to the school on Monday.
