Three University of Rochester students were hospitalized after an explosion at the school yesterday. Reports indicate that the trio of graduate students were working in a chemistry lab when a mixture of materials became volatile. A spokesperson with the school states that the students may have suffered acidic burns. None of the injuries are considered to be life threatening.
The lab space has been decontaminated and has re-opened to students.
