Sabres home opener: parking suggestions

WBFO News File Photo

The Buffalo Sabres open the season against the Columbus Blue Jackets Thursday night at First Niagara Center.  The area around the FNC is expected to be jam-packed with fans and difficult to navigate for those not familiar with the construction going on at HarborCenter. The city of Buffalo Parking Department has come up with a list of suggested parking ramps for those heading to the game tonight.  The good news is many of them are just $2, yes two bucks! The bad news is you may have walk a few blocks.  Most, though, are located within a block or two of the metro rail.

City of Buffalo Parking has noted the following ramps will cost only $2 to park after 5 p.m. Thursday:

Augspurger - 362 Pearl Street

Mohawk - 477 Washington Street

Fernbach - 200 Pearl Street

Main Place - 223 Pearl

Ellicott/Oak - 205 Ellicott Street

Turner - 1 Perkins Drive

There is also $8 parking at the One Seneca ramp (underground) at 1 HSBC Center on Washington Street.
