Two men arrested for possession of Ecstasy at border

Lewiston Police arrested two men at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge late Friday night for possession of Ecstasy and Marijuana.27-year-old Mauleek A. Jones and 24-year-old Hassan D. Lester - both from the City of Buffalo - were caught attempting to pass through U.S. Customs when border agents located the drugs in their vehicle.

Both men face charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  Further forensic analysis of the Ecstasy may increase the charges to Felony level.

Lester also faces a Misdemeanor charge of False Presentation to a Law Enforcement Officer, after he gave a fake name and date of birth to Customs agents in an attempt to evade arrest for an active warrant with the Buffalo Police.

The men are currently being held on bail in the Niagara County Jail.

Avery began his broadcasting career as a disc jockey for WRUB, the University at Buffalo’s student-run radio station.
