North Buffalo fire displaces family

WBFO News photo by Eileen Buckley

Buffalo firefighters were called to a smoky blaze in North Buffalo Saturday night.

Alarms rang at around 11 PM as a home on Lovering Avenue was ablaze. The smoke was heavy and the winds strong enough that residents in Kenmore reported smelling the fire. The blaze kept firefighters busy into the night.

Five firefighters were injured at the scene. Four of them were treated at ECMC.

The residents of the home all made it out safely.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
