The Erie County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 15-year-old Springville-Griffith Institute High School student and charged her with making a bomb threat. The student was arrested Tuesday for a threat made at the school on Monday. She admitted to writing threatening messages on the walls of a girls' bathroom, referencing a bomb in the school, sometime early in the day.
Bomb squads searched the building and grounds and found nothing dangerous. Classes resumed today.
The student has been charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident, a class A misdemeanor.
