Words like prodigious, prolific, astounding, and extraordinary are appropriate when describing the career of Bobby Militello.
Militello, the Buffalo-born saxophonist has played with Maynard Ferguson, The Tonight Show Band, and has been a featured soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic and orchestras around the world. He’s recorded soundtracks for movies and TV. He’s been a restaurateur and music club owner. And of course, he played for more than 20 years with the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
Militello is playing a concert with the Buffalo Philharmonic Friday at the First Presbyterian Church across from Kleinhans.
