Prospective buyers given access to Bills' financial info

Potential buyers of the Buffalo Bills now have access to a secure online virtual data room of the financial dealings of the franchise. Financial adviser Morgan Stanley released the data to serious bidders who have expressed interest in buying the team on Thursday. The Buffalo News reports one of those parties is billionaire businessman Donald Trump.

The release of the data, the so-called "sale book" if released in hard copy, is an indication that the sale process in formally underway, less than four months after the death of founding owner Ralph Wilson Jr.

Anyone given access to view the virtual room is required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Some analysts say the remainder of the process should go quickly, with estimates that the team could be sold for a price in excess of $1 billion.

There is no indication on whether the financial data includes any ramifications for potential owners who would want to move the team out of Buffalo.
